VEGAN APPLE-CRUMBLE with fruit tea

Ingredients for Servings

  • 1 kg Apples of the variety of your choice
  • 2 table spoons of brown sugar
  • 1 table spoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 150 ml RED RUBY
  • 75 g oats
  • 50 g flour
  • 50 g sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 75 g soft margerine

Although Apple crumble tastes especially delicious on cold days, this recipe is an all year round favourite. Our Red Ruby fruit tea makes this dish even more fruity and intense in taste. The preparation is super easy so this recipe is perfect for getting little ones involved. A rainy day becomes a cosy treat! Give it a go...(makes about 10 portions)

    • Preheat the oven to 200°C.

    • Peel apples, remove seeds and cut into bite-sized cubes. Mix the cubes with brown sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon.

    • Prepare the Red Ruby tea.

    • For topping, mix oatmeal, flour, sugar and salt. Add margarine pieces and knead until crumbled.

    • Place the apple cubes in a lightly greased casserole dish or ovenproof pan and pour over the Red Ruby.

    • Place the crumble mixture on top and bake in the oven for about 40 minutes at medium rack height.

    • Now just sprinkle with icing sugar and you're good to go!
