Suitable for people with nut allergy
The tiger nut is a plant, primarily growing in the tropics and subtropics, in proximity to the equator. Its height reaches more than half a meter. The plant then grows sprouts with small brown tubers beneath the surface. These tubers are the so called tiger nuts. Even though the tiger nut is no real nut, it is often compared to almonds or hazelnuts. This is probably due to its slightly sweet taste. Its special taste also works well in pastries: grinding tiger nuts into flour makes an excellent gluten-free baking substitute! This ingredient causes extra less CO2e. That is especally good for our clima!
